Club STREET LAUNDRY

Back in the late 19th and 20th centuries, Club Street was home to an abundance of Chinese social clubs, such as the Chui Lan Teng Club, a businessman’s networking paradise, and the Ee Hoe Hean Club, an exclusive club founded in 1895 for the wealthy elite. Whichever establishment one was part of, it offered community and support, and a way to celebrate their heritage.

Occupying the ground floor of the intersection between Club Street and Ann Siang Hill,
is Club Street Laundry – cafe by day and modern Australian eatery / wine bar by night.

As an homage to the neighbourhood’s history, Club Street Laundry offers a space for Singapore’s diverse “second-generation immigrants” to come together to foster their own community.
